An advertising flyer is a printed graphic designed primarily to promote products and services or publicise activities and events.

In recent years, 'flyers' has also become a popular term for leaflets promoting leisure events, particularly nightlife, bars and music festivals. These flyers often use thicker stock and bright, eye-catching designs. The term pamphlet is more commonly associated with political material.

For the artwork, choose an appealing, colourful and well-organised design, using eye-catching headings to highlight your main points. The layout will also depend on the leaflet's shape and how much information you want to include. If there is more information, consider a larger format. For events, make sure the venue and date are clear; for products, include the address or details needed to make a purchase.
